1) What will BeDazzled buy? We buy all karats of white and yellow gold, platinum and silver. Including but not limited to: broken, tangled gold chains, class rings, necklaces, unmatched earrings, outdated styles, mountings, bent and broken jewelry, pins, brooches, pocket watches, dental gold, charms, coins and old rings.
2) What if I do not know if it is gold? Bring it in anyway. It is our professional team's job to sort through and check for authenticity of all of your items. Just sit back and relax while your items are expertly tested.
3) What if I have stones in the gold that I want to sell? We encourage all customers to remove their stones before selling their gold. We have tools available for stone removal.
4) What if I cannot remove the stones? Will you buy them? We do not buy stones. Unfortunately, some settings make on site stone removal impossible. If stones are not able to be removed, you may either sell them with the stones or keep your item.
5) Do you take dental gold and how do you get the porcelain tooth off? Yes, we take dental gold. Customers can remove the porcelain tooth by putting the tooth into a plastic bag and hammering it. The tooth should break apart and leave the dental gold.
6) How much time does it take for you to figure out how much my gold is worth? That depends on the amount of items that you bring in along with the ease in which your items can be evaluated. For example, if you bring a couple of necklaces, loop earrings and a ring that are all clearly marked you could be in and out in as little as 5 to 10 minutes. If you bring in a baggy full of tangled chains and miscellaneous items that need to be sorted and tested individually, your evaluation time will take longer. Please be assured that our goal is to be quick and efficient.
7) How will I know how much you are paying? All prices are clearly posted at the time of an event.
8) What ID do I have to bring to sell my gold? You must have a valid drivers license and be 18 years old.
9) I heard that home parties are illegal. Is that true? If the gold buyers are not conforming to your state's law, it may be true.
10) How do I know that you are legal? We follow all local, state and federal law's. When we are hired for a job, our research team checks all local, state and federal law's in which we are doing business. We file all appropriate licensing. For example, in Michigan, we are licensed by the State of Michigan under the Precious Metals Act of 1981. Michigan's law states that we ask for picture id, take thumbprints and forward appropriate documentation to legal agencies.
11) What if I am not sure if I want to sell my gold? That is always your choice. We would be happy to give you a quote as to the worth of your items. At that time there is no pressure for you to sell your items. Remember that they are your belongings. You should always feel comfortable with your decision of whether to sell your items or keep them.
12) I was thinking of selling my grandmother's ring. How much will it be worth? Remember, we pay a scrap price for all items. The value to us is the weight of the ring. We cannot put value on something as personal and precious as a family heirloom.
13) If I want to host an event, what do I have to do first? Call us. At that time we will pick a date and time for you to be a host. During our conversation, you will be given all of the details of our hosting program.
14) You said that you pay a hosting gift of 10% of the event's total payout. Does that get taken out of my guest's payout? Absolutely not. That is a hosting gift that is paid out of our account, not you or your guest's gold money. Think of it just like getting free tupperware, but, you get $$$.
15) Where do you travel? We travel to multiple states. When you call, we take your location and check all local, state and federal law's to make sure that we are licensed in your area.
